Solid wood children's desk is made to order only.  Pictured desk consisted of a walnut base with a maple top.  Bases can also be made from oak, ash or maple; tops are available only in maple to provide a smooth writing surface.  Size can be slightly larger based on age of child and customer preference.
The hinged top lifts up to reveal storage space for coloring books and crayons. The writing surface has a lip to keep pencils from rolling off, as the top is slightly slanted for more comfortable drawing.
We apologize in advance for the shipping costs; we simply pass through what the carrier charges us.  Because we have local customers who pick up the pieces they order, we have one set of prices and do not "hide" shipping costs in the purchase price.  We think of this desk as truly fine furniture that will last a lifetime, so we pack it very carefully, which results in a slightly larger box.
